Orbit League’s Competition Committee to announce player weight divisions

HILLTOP, TX – The Hilltop Monarchs have taken the Youth Combat Football League (YCFL) by storm this season, finishing the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record. At the center of their dominance is quarterback Jalen Pierce, a name that has quickly become synonymous with excellence.

Pierce, a 6’2″ dual-threat quarterback, has been the driving force behind the Monarchs’ explosive offense. In just ten games, he has thrown for 2,800 yards and 25 touchdowns, while also rushing for 650 yards and 8 scores. His ability to extend plays, read defenses, and deliver pinpoint passes has left opposing teams struggling to find an answer.

A Season to Remember

Pierce’s most recent performance against the Brookside Hawks was nothing short of spectacular. He threw for 312 yards and four touchdowns, leading his team to a commanding 42-17 victory. His ability to step up in big moments has made him a frontrunner for the YCFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

“I just go out there and try to make the right plays,” Pierce said after the game. “It’s not about stats for me—it’s about getting the win for my teammates. We’ve been grinding all season, and we’re ready for the next challenge.”

Coach’s Praise and Leadership on the Field

Monarchs head coach Marcus Reynolds has nothing but high praise for his star quarterback.

“Jalen is the kind of player that every coach dreams of having,” Reynolds said. “He’s talented, yes, but it’s his work ethic and leadership that set him apart. The guys rally around him, and he always puts the team first.”

Pierce’s leadership has been evident throughout the season. In a Week 7 showdown against the Eastwood Warriors, the Monarchs trailed by 14 points in the fourth quarter. Pierce orchestrated a game-winning drive, throwing a 45-yard touchdown with less than a minute remaining to complete the comeback.

“He never panics,” said senior wide receiver Derrick Cole, who has been one of Pierce’s favorite targets. “He’s always calm, always focused. That confidence spreads to the whole team.”

The Road to a Championship

With the playoffs set to begin next week, the Monarchs are firm favorites to claim the YCFL Championship. However, the road won’t be easy. The Westbrook Wolves (9-1), led by their high-powered offense, and the defensive powerhouse East Ridge Lions (8-2) are both formidable opponents.

When asked about the upcoming playoff run, Pierce kept his focus on the team’s ultimate goal.

“We’re not done yet,” he said. “Going undefeated is great, but we want the championship. That’s the only thing that matters.”

As the YCFL playoffs get underway, all eyes will be on Jalen Pierce and the Monarchs. Can they complete their perfect season and capture the title? Fans won’t have to wait long to find out.
